Data Science for Biologists
The “-omics” revolution has revolutionized biology, yet our ability to analyze the deluge of data generated by these approaches. In 2019, I will be teaching a new Data Science course aimed at biologists that are dealing with these enormous data sets. We will be focusing on applying machine learning techniques to biological data sets. We will be focusing on skills for effective software development, coding scientifically, and learning how to leverage machine learning tools such as TensorFlow to analyze biological datasets.
Transitioning the Olson Lab website
After the Hale library fire we lost a portion of our old website and are trying to reconstruct it from backups. Excuse our mess as we transition the Olson Lab website to a new host with its own domain.
